Job Description
An Insurance company is looking to hire an experienced IT officer to manage our company’s computer systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing hardware configurations, installing software, managing network systems, and assist in training staff on correct operating procedures.
The successful candidate should also have extensive experience maintaining large-scale computer systems, ability to project manage, and excellent troubleshooting skills. Candidate will work together with the IT Manager to design and maintain a dynamic and stable system to perfectly meet the needs of the company.
Key responsibilities:
Meeting with the IT Manager to discuss system needs.
Designing and installing computer hardware configurations.
Installing software and networking systems.
Troubleshooting network and software issues.
Installing high-level software security systems.
Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems.
Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues.
Responding to general IT requests throughout the company.
Ensuring software is kept up to date.
Filing monthly reports for the IT Manager.
Requirements Have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
Knowledge of LAN, MAN, WAN, WLAN, GAN, SAN and VOIP.
Ability to project manage.
Good communication skills.
Have a minimum of three years’ experience in similar role
Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and/or A+ Certification preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis and organizing skills.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Intermediate knowledge of server operation systems and domain infrastructure components.
Intermediate knowledge of cloud platforms and/or virtual hypervisors.
Intermediate knowledge of network addressing and subletting
Organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully influence at all levels and break down barriers across departments/diverse cultures.
Must be able to meet multiple deadlines.

Must be able to work in a team environment.
