Mission
To assist the Warehouse Supervisor in the performance of warehouse functions and in accordance with the Standard Operating procedures of the company, ensuring that the company’s business goals of growth, market share, profitability and customer satisfaction are met.
The role
Assist in offloading goods from port and loading for dispatch.
Ensure prompt receipt of orders shipped from the DC’s/PC’s, processing in BPCS within 24 hours of physical receipt.
Check packing list against physical items and quantities received to ensure conformity and accuracy in order receipt. Alert warehouse supervisor and Import & Export unit of any anomalies, and subsequently inform Inbound replenishment unit of the need for ACIGN placement.
Check invoices against system receipt to ensure that all items billed have been received into system inventory.
Sort physical inventory receipts into customer orders and stock orders.
Advise Order Fulfillment unit of customer order receipts for prompt delivery.
Assist with labelling, stacking and re-arrangement of items for stocking in appropriate locations.
Ensure that items are promptly and appropriately stocked for high traceability and accessibility.
Assist in picking and processing/dispatching parts to job orders, and subsequent preparation of backorder report for circulation on weekly basis.
Assist in picking and distributing/dispatching parts to Consignment/VMI sites and processing system DRP transfer within one working day.
Assist in the conduct of weekly cycle counting, quarterly and annual stock take exercise.
Assist in the picking, packing and processing of stock returns to the DC’s.
Maintain efficient filing system for all working documents.
Maintain general housekeeping and ensure high safety standards in warehouse environment.
Participate in Employee development programs including product training, business and personal development.
Any other duties assigned by your superior.
Competences, Skills And Experience
Diploma/HND/Degree in Purchasing/Logistics & Supply chain/Procurement or other related area.
A minimum of 1 to 3 years of related working experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
A very good understanding of systems and procedures.
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written, facilitation, and a team player
Ability to plan, coordinate and monitor activities
Ability to motivate self to achieve key results
Good computer skills (Word, Power point, Excel, Lotus Notes, BPCS,AC Connect, SAP,M3)
