Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated ICT Instructor to join our team. The ICT Instructor will be responsible for teaching students in junior high school essential computer and technology skills. This role includes developing lesson plans, delivering lectures, conducting practical sessions, and assessing students’ progress. The instructor will foster a positive learning environment, encouraging students to develop a strong foundation in technology that will support their future academic and career paths.
Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery
Plan, prepare, and deliver ICT lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
Develop engaging instructional materials and teaching strategies that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Teach fundamental computer skills, including basic programming, internet use, digital literacy, and software applications (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentations)
Student Assessment and Feedback
Assess students’ knowledge and skills through quizzes, tests, projects, and practical assignments.
Provide constructive feedback to support student growth and development.
Track and report on students’ progress, maintaining accurate records of grades and performance.
Classroom and Resource Management
Ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment that fosters learning.
Maintain the computer lab and ensure all technology equipment is functioning properly and securely.
Advise school administration on updates or repairs needed for ICT equipment.
Professional Development and Collaboration
Participate in school meetings, teacher training sessions, and professional development programs.
Collaborate with other teachers to integrate ICT into other subjects and support cross-disciplinary learning.
Student Engagement and Extra-Curricular Activities
Inspire students to explore further in the field of technology through projects, clubs, or coding workshops.
Support and mentor students interested in participating in ICT-related competitions or activities.
Qualifications:
Teaching certification or licensure (if required by local regulations).
Proficiency in a variety of computer software and educational technology tools.
Experience working with junior high school students is an advantage.
Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching and inspiring young learner
