Job Description

We’re looking for a creative and results-oriented Marketing & Publicity Manager to amplify our authors’ voices and bring our brand stories to the world. From book launches and campaigns to our upcoming writing residency and documentary project, your role will be crucial in creating buzz and building long-lasting engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute marketing plans for published books and special projects
Manage social media strategy and content calendars across platforms
Pitch stories to media outlets, bloggers, and book influencers
Coordinate virtual and physical events (book tours, IG Lives, launch parties)
Collaborate with the creative team on visuals, press kits, and email marketing
Track performance metrics and generate reports
Requirements

2–3 years of experience in marketing, PR, or digital media (publishing experience a plus)
Strong copywriting and communication skills
Knowledge of book marketing trends and platforms (Amazon, Goodreads, etc.)
Ability to work independently with creative flair and strategic thinking
Familiarity with Mailchimp, Canva, Meta tools, and scheduling platforms
Bonus

Experience with campaign-based projects (e.g., film launches, advocacy projects)
Interest in African storytelling and purpose-driven brands
