Black Tech Lead

As the name suggests, Black Tech Lead is about Africans leading the technology revolution. Our vision is to bridge the double skills gap by advocating for and simultaneously fostering leadership and digital skills in a thriving community of at least 1 million young African innovators. Our Mission: A Two-Pronged Approach 1. Building Strong Leaders: We offer a mix of impactful programs, including the Monthly Tech Lead Events, Tech Lead Conference and the GLC Program (a quarterly cohort-based leadership development program for young individuals). In between these main events, we reach out to schools, youth groups, and churches, offering high-impact crash courses on leadership, technology, career development, and entrepreneurship. 2. Bridging the Digital Skills Gap: We recognize the importance of both leadership and technical skills. While 60% of our content focuses on leadership development, we dedicate the remaining 40% to training in in-demand digital skills like data science, UI/UX design, digital marketing, and software development. We also give out scholarships on a competitive basis to our leaders who need certifications, and books. Here are some additional benefits: 1. Expert-led sessions featuring industry leaders 2. Networking opportunities to connect with like-minded professionals (students, entry and mid level career persons) 3. Sharing best practices to learn from each other’s experiences 4.
