Job Description

African Diaspora Resource Centre (ADRC) provides transitional support services to African diaspora looking to visit and relocate to Ghana.

Role Description

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ga Language Teacher to provide engaging and effective lessons to learners with an English-speaking background. The ideal candidate will be responsible for helping students develop their speaking, reading, and writing skills in Ga, as well as deepening their cultural understanding.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver structured Ga language lessons tailored to English-speaking learners.
Develop interactive and engaging teaching materials to enhance learning.
Provide individualized support to students based on their language proficiency levels
Introduce students to Ghanaian culture and traditions through language instruction
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Incorporate multimedia tools and real-life scenarios to enhance language acquisition.
Maintain an encouraging and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

Teaching and linguistic skills
Curriculum development skills
Background in Education and Literature
Fluency in Ga language
Experience teaching Ga language to a diverse audience
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, Literature, or related field
