Job Description
The UX/UI Software Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing user-centered interfaces for CalBank’s digital channels and Fintech products that deliver intuitive customer experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conceptualize and design innovative UI/UX solutions leveraging best practices for web, mobile and emerging channels
Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, mockups, and specifications for elegant front-end development
Develop pixel-perfect and cross browser/device compatible user interfaces
Implement stylesheets, languages, libraries and frameworks like CSS, HTML, JavaScript, React and Angular
Collaborate with product owners and development teams to integrate cutting-edge front end applications
Conduct usability testing to identify improvement areas, iterate solutions and optimize conversion funnels
Maintain and extend design systems across CalBank’s digital properties for consistent user experience
Keep updated on latest UI/UX design trends, accessibility standards and emerging technologies
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent field
Minimum 3 years of hands-on work experience designing, building and shipping consumer-facing interfaces
Expert-level fluency with front-end languages and frameworks
Demonstrated UI/UX design skills from conceptualization to execution
Strong portfolio showcasing visually impressive interfaces
Excellent analytical thinking and problem diagnosis capabilities
Passion for designing innovative digital experiences placing the customer first
