Job Description:
The Dikan Center is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Finance Manager who will play a critical role in the financial management and strategic development of the organization. The Senior Finance Manager will report directly to the Executive Director and will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting. In addition, this role will actively contribute to business development and strategy initiatives to support Dikan Center’s mission.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
– Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the sound financial management of the organization.
– Prepare and manage the annual budget, including regular monitoring and reporting on financial performance against budget.
– Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
– Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements.
2. Financial Analysis and Reporting:
– Provide accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and analysis to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
– Conduct financial forecasting and modeling to support strategic decision-making.
– Identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities to the leadership team.
3. Business Development and Strategy:
– Collaborate with the Executive Director and senior leadership to develop and implement strategies for financial growth and sustainability.
– Participate in fundraising and grant application processes, including budget preparation and financial narrative.
– Evaluate potential business opportunities, partnerships, and investments to advance Dikan Center’s mission.
4. Team Leadership:
– Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
– Foster a culture of financial accountability and transparency throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
– Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or CIMA is highly desirable.
– Minimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
– Non-profit finance experience is a plus.
– Strong financial modelling and analysis skills.
– Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
– Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies.
– Proficiency in financial software and tools.
