It builds, owns and operates telecom passive infrastructure, providing services to mobile network operators. Helios Towers currently operates in nine markets in Africa and the Middle East.
Overview
Reporting into MD, Ghana; the Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for leveraging on resources, meeting targets, also responsible for managing all sales efforts and strategically launching HT products or services into the market and ensuring customer service standards are high and continually improving.
S/he will be responsible to effectively manage all risks associated with the project/programme and escalate risks, issues and opportunities to the Managing Director whilst ensuring effective communication with all customers.

Role Responsibilities
As Sales and Marketing Director, you will:
Lead all initiatives to maintain, establish and improve relationships with key decision-makers in telecom operators and in partnership with the HTG Managing Director.
Lead Account Management Teams’ engagements with customers to source information and feedback on HTTGs services to enable business meet, pre-empt and exceed the customers’ needs.
Develop market sales opportunities incrementally through strong relationships with Sales Teams by carrying out aggressive co-location campaigns and developing marketing roll-out strategies to the telecom operators.
Collaborate with central commercial team to develop customer specific rollout and new products.
Take responsibility for delivery of annual sales targets in collaboration with the HTG Managing Director.
Liaise with other Heads of Department (HODs) to facilitate service delivery to customers and support in managing HTG’s relationships with the customers.
Manage revenue planning process for HTG in conjunction with the Group Commercial team, HTG’s Managing Director and Finance team.
Lead Sales and Marketing team to develop proprietary offers for colocation and build-to-suit demand, with support of Group Commercial team.
Lead commercial negotiations with operators to win colocation and build-to-suit orders.
Implement best practice processes and procedures for commercial, marketing, sales, follow-up customer care and account management.
Implement Group tools to facilitate marketing, product differentiation and pricing strategy.
Develop marketing presentations following Group guidelines.
Support installation of a Customer Relationship Management and sales reporting system with Group Commercial team.
Lead recruitment of Account Managers and other members of Sales team.

Requirements for the Role
To succeed in the role, you will be/will have:
Educated to degree level/equivalent in Technical or Commercial related fields.
Minimum 10 years’ relevant experience in business-to-business (B2B) executive corporate account, preferably from a mobile operator/vendor
Minimum 10 years’ management experience
CIM and related professional bodies
Excellent communication skills, fluency in English is must.
