Objectives
Ensures all safety policies and practices are in line with Mantrac Groups safety vision and principles and worldwide practices
Provides detailed reports regarding incidents, risk and safety performance
Develops procedures for managing and disposing hazardous substances
Develops, monitors and constantly improve Health, Safety and Environment procedures for the branch
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure all safety policies and practices are in line with global best practices
Leads safety / toolbox talks
Develops procedures for managing and disposing hazardous substances
Develops a comprehensive standard operating procedure for branch operations
Ensures safe working and environmental practices are strictly followed
Reviews safe working procedures as and when it becomes necessary
Keeping an up-to-date record of all health, safety and environmental issues
Qualification Required & Experience
A good first degree in BSc. Engineering will be an advantage not essential
Certification from National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH)
Institute of occupational safety and health (IOSH) and/or Occupational Health and safety assessment series (OHSAS) – Lead Auditor Certification and/or Internal Auditor Certification – Certification will be an advantage, not essential
A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
Abreast with worldwide health, safety and environmental procedures
