Job Description
The Machinist with CNC Experience will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathe turning, milling, and shaping machinery to produce precision components. The role requires a deep understanding of machining processes, machine setup, and troubleshooting. The Machinist will collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure all specifications are met with the highest level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate lathe, milling, and shaping machines to perform precision machining operations.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, and technical manuals.
Create, load, and modify machine programs to optimize production efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance on machinery and ensure work area is clean and organized.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with lathe and fluting machinery and tooling.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to improve manufacturing processes.
Qualifications and experience
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience operating and programming CNC machines.
HND, BSc or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering. A certificate in machining is an added advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of experience operating lathe, milling, and shaping machines.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documents / drawings.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.
Willingness to undergo training on new CNC equipment and software as needed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
