Role Responsibilities:

Sourcing of raw material

Planning and executing the buying strategies basis factory and export requirements.
Supply & Demand analysis of the key procurement materials.
Pricing ideas – Adopt market practices and ensure cost-effective buying.
Raw material cost & quality practices – make sure the best quality materials are bought through an innovative and cost-efficient approach.
Experience in procurement of raw materials like wheat flour, sugar, tomato paste and shortening. Understanding of laminates and tin plate buying is an added advantage.

Imports

Handle the import operations of all the procurement materials sourced from different origins.
Will include planning the schedules, volume projection, operational aspects etc.
Able to plan and manage the required logistics and other supportive functions.

Geography

Sourcing experience from multiple regions like China, SE Asia, Turkey, Brazil and Europe.

Team

Lead the sourcing team based in Shared Services, India

Key deliverables

Volume: Planning and phasing raw material supply as per needs of the processing facility, supplier management
Cost: Manage direct cost of operations within the allotted budget
Quality: Ensure optimum quality of raw material is procured

Strategic effectiveness

Contribute to the design and implementation of the business road map, as well as managing the procurement and supply chain strategy for the product(s)
You will demonstrate sound judgement within defined practices and policies and select techniques for obtaining solutions that will contribute to future results and successes.
Strong financial acumen, ability to read and comprehend tasks such as counterparty and credit risk management.
Develop strong S&D (Supply and Demand) capabilities to dynamically formulate a price view and a strategic buying plan throughout the crop year.

Operational effectiveness:

Support implementation of required infrastructure as per the business plan and derive maximum capacity efficiencies by eliminating controllable losses.
Manage the primary/secondary procurement
Ability to build teams – hiring, training, and developing team members.
Collaborate with key stake holders involving formal business reviews and ongoing continuous improvement initiatives.
