Job duties include.

Assists in the development and evaluation of maintenance policies and procedures for utility machinery and supervises their implementation through PMs generated in SAP.
Assists in the scheduling for equipment repair and PMs provided generated in SAP.
Reviews and updates when necessary functional location data, log sheets, standard operating procedures etc. for operations of utility machinery.
Ensures the correct functioning of utility equipment to minimize the incidence of technical breakdowns.
Ensures prompt actions are taken in case of breakdown of utility machinery.
Liaises with Engineering Stores and reviews available data in ensuring that spare parts inventory for utility equipment is adequate to meet maintenance needs.
Coordinates all activities relating to the performance of annual safety checkups for the Factory’s Utility equipment.
Ensures that additional accountabilities and responsibilities, as may be required or assigned by management, are handled in a manner necessary to meet operational standards of the Factory.
May be called to the Factory premises to attend to problems or related issues at times outside his normal working hours and may be required to work on shift if required.
Initiates measures to improve methods, equipment performance and quality of work.
Assists in the maintenance of all records and files relating to equipment operations and maintenance, time cards and other issues relating to attendance to work by subordinates.
Ensures strict adherence to hygienic standards and safety regulations and is proactive in promoting safety with particular emphasis on LOTO.
Is proactive in promoting Safety.
Supports implementation of AM.
Implements 5As in his area and promotes in the plant.

Education and/or Experience:
1st Degree plus 4yrs experience
HND plus 6yrs experience
Other equivalent qualifications
