TAF College is a transformative non-profit social impact initiative committed to redefining Africa’s future by addressing unemployment at its roots. Our central mission is to offer free education to 100 creative freelancers annually, equipping them with the essential skills, knowledge, and resources to succeed as entrepreneurs. We believe that education is a powerful tool for social change, and through our programmes, we empower individuals to create sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their communities.

Role Overview:

As a Volunteer Fundraiser at TAF College, you will be at the forefront of our mission, helping to secure the vital funding necessary for our educational programmes and initiatives. Your expertise in fundraising and corporate social responsibility (CSR) will be crucial in cultivating relationships with donors and sponsors who share our vision of a prosperous and empowered Africa. You will work collaboratively with our team to develop innovative strategies and campaigns that resonate with corporate partners and individual donors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Proposal Development:
Conduct thorough research to identify potential funding sources, including foundations, government grants, and corporate sponsorship opportunities.
Craft compelling grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and funding requests that clearly articulate TAF College’s mission, impact, and financial needs.

Relationship Building:
Establish and nurture relationships with existing and prospective donors, corporate partners, and community stakeholders to foster long-term support.
Serve as a representative of TAF College at community events, fundraising galas, and networking functions to promote our mission and engage potential supporters.
Fundraising Campaigns:
Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including crowdfunding drives, charity events, and awareness campaigns.
Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to design promotional materials and digital content that raise awareness and drive engagement.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Engagement:
Leverage knowledge of CSR to identify ways in which TAF College can align with corporate partners’ social responsibility initiatives.
Develop tailored proposals that highlight mutual benefits, including demonstrating how partnerships can enhance corporate image and community impact.

Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and analyse fundraising metrics and outcomes, providing regular updates and reports to TAF College’s leadership team.
Use data and feedback to refine and improve fundraising strategies, ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of outreach efforts.

Community Engagement:
Engage with local communities to raise awareness of TAF College’s mission and programmes, encouraging community support and involvement.
Organise workshops, webinars, and information sessions to educate potential funders and volunteers about our impact and the importance of supporting education in Africa.

Business Development Strategies:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and collaborations that align with TAF College’s mission and objectives.
Develop strategic plans to grow TAF College’s reach and sustainability, including potential revenue-generating activities that complement our educational offerings.
