Overview:
Dikan Group, an impact-driven organization that includes a non-profit institution, a story agency, and a restaurant, is seeking a seasoned People & Culture Manager. This strategic role is pivotal in designing, implementing, and managing HR and operational frameworks that align with our mission to transform Africa through innovative education, creativity, and leadership. The Manager will spearhead the development of a transformative people strategy that prioritizes culture and shared values, advocates for staff, and drives initiatives in learning, development, engagement, and career transition.
Key Responsibilities:
– Strategic Culture and People Development:
Develop and execute people strategies that enhance Dikan’s culture, fostering a sense of belonging, interconnectedness, and shared purpose. Implement policies and programs that support staff performance, engagement, and professional growth. Serve as a thought partner to leadership by synthesizing staff feedback to guide strategic decisions. Lead the design and implementation of learning and development opportunities across the organization.
– Organizational Integration and Leadership:
Guide the organization in integrating discussions on race, power, and identity into Dikan’s culture and external engagements. Remain updated on and integrate effective, innovative coaching and development practices. Facilitate shared learning and communication of progressive people and culture practices across Dikan, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
– Operational and Departmental Leadership:
Spearhead the creation and establishment of the HR and operations departments. Craft HR and operational strategies that enhance performance and support Dikan’s strategic goals across all entities, including Dikan Center, 55 Thrones, and Dikan Restaurant. Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient resource allocation.
– Talent and Performance Management:
Lead talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and maintain top-tier talent. Establish and manage a robust performance management system that aligns with organizational values.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in HR, with a strong focus on building HR departments and operational systems from the ground up. Deep knowledge of Ghanaian labor laws and compliance regulations. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Skills:
Proven expertise in building systems and departments from scratch. Advanced strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple initiatives with attention to detail. Effective mentorship, Leadership and coaching abilities.
