The purpose of this role is to contribute to the growth of the Company by reviewing current market trends and also propose new business ideas that can improve revenue margins. As a resilient, empathic Manager, Business Development you are responsible for finding and retaining clients, encouraging extant clients to purchase added products or features, and remaining abreast of changes in services.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Develop and implement a culture of cross selling and up selling in the business
Responsible for cross selling and upselling alternative business solutions to clients
Responsible for ensuring uninterrupted referral and repeat businesses
Maximize customer service experience and ensure zero percent loss in ongoing businesses.
Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
Identify and introduce service improvements to improve the overall client experience
Develop research activities to improve service delivery and understand market trends
Follow industry trends locally and internationally and recommend findings to management
Writing proposals and plans, and guiding long-term objectives to meet business needs and requirements
Plan and execute all digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
Manage the day to day interaction with clients, keeping track of requests and our responses, leveling their expectations and escalating issues that require consultation and decision making
Ensure excellent client satisfaction levels through continuous formal and informal evaluation, periodic Customer Satisfaction Survey and also from immediate ad hoc feedback.
Ensure that detailed records of meeting and presentations are maintained for every client session.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
Education and Technical
● Degree in Bsc. Business Administration, marketing, or related field, MBA a plus or a similar discipline
● Minimum seven(7) years’ experience sales or marketing experience or similar role in the Engineering industry
● Ability to sell ideas, products and services and lead cross-functional teams to complete a sale
● Technical skills to understand and propose products or solutions by focusing on the client’s requirements
● A solid understanding of business and marketing principles and tools
● Experience with CRM software
